Project status

Updated 2026-11-03. See the task list for the current order, the roadmap for the broader plan, and the test lists for details. The working tree may include uncommitted work; inspect it before editing.

  • Gameplay: the shared scene reached combat, rewards, death, retry and menu return in an isolated Linux build. A new test-stage panel has a passing isolated Editor check for entry, enemy spawn, character restart and return; its visual controls still need a normal player-window check. A natural full clear, Windows/Steam, online behavior and game feel remain open.
  • Characters and abilities: all seven characters passed basic setup and one starting-effect check. The owner prefers further ability tests to be manual. See the ability checklist for partial and unrecorded checks.
  • Controls: the settings page supports capturing a key or controller button. Isolated checks passed for capture, conflict handling and device reassignment; physical devices, persistence and reconnect behavior still need player checks.
  • Saves: encrypted JSON and legacy migration exist. Disposable Linux checks passed; actual Windows migration and historical saves remain open.
  • Transition and effects: the gate waits for input in the Editor check, but visual presentation and a real gamepad need checks. The owner reports crowd control works and wants clearer effects.
  • Stage character unlocks: Stage 1, 2, and 3 now reference Archer, Miner, and Zenova as recalled by the owner. An isolated check covered the boss requirement and all five difficulties; a player-build check remains.
  • Visual rendering: the special-enemy outline and four effects that could cover reward chests were corrected. Linux graphics checks reported passes; Unity crashed while closing afterward. The test-stage panel can now spawn special enemies and open boss rewards. A fresh player build and manual checks are still needed; the previous Linux build predates these changes. See visual rendering bugs.
